My Luster Ware Collection, Part 1

I collect a lot of things including Luster Ware......

I have shared my collection a few years ago but I thought I would share it again for those of you who are not familiar with Luster Ware........
I have my collection displayed in our upstairs hall way........

This is what you see when you walk up the stairs.......
I have bought all my pieces of Luster Ware at Yard Sales, Flea Markets ad Estate Sales........

Paying no more than a few Dollars for each piece.......
It all started with a gift given to me by a neighbor of mine who was an older woman who moved to a Senior Citizen Apartment..........
This is what my neighbor gave me as a Good Bye gift......
I had admired it in her home for some time and was thrilled to have it gifted to me.......

So much so that I started to collect more pieces........
Sorry for the glare but these pieces are very reflective of light..........
Love the picture on it......
A small tea pot........
And the demitasse set that started it all........
I also want to mention that I bought both shelves at church flea markets......
A bowl and a pitcher.......
Once again, I apologize for the glare........

First shelf......

 Such a peaceful scene.......
Such an interesting tea pot..........
Next shelf........
A different type of Luster Ware.........
On the next shelf is a set that I bought for $10.00!!!!
I wish I had the sugar bowl.......
In my next post, I will show you the rest of my collection........
So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

Winter with a Touch of Valentine Decor in the Powder Room, 2016

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

Today, I want to show you how the Powder Room looks decorated for Winter with a bit of Valentine Decorations thrown in...........

You may remember that I decorate the Powder Room with Snow Buddies for Christmas.......

I have taken away all the things that relate to Christmas...........

On the door, I hung a wreath that I made...........
Using red and white velvet roses and heart picks from Dollar Tree............

Above the door............
A smaller heart wreath that I also made.......
On a shelf above the sink.........
I left it as I had decorated it for Christmas and added a red bottle brush tree in a silver pot......
I embellished the pot with a heart ruffled trim and a few puffy satin hearts.....
The addition of 2 red heart ornaments after putting away 2 Christmas angel ornaments.....
Moving around the room.......
I simply took away a few Christmas related items and moved my lighted mercury glass Trees that I displayed on top of the TV entertainment center for Christmas, into the Powder Room....

This is where I put one of them..........
All these Snow Buddies still fit in with the Winter Theme.......
 Penguin Hockey!!

On top of the commode.......
Over in the corner..........
My Snow Buddy Tree.......
I took down any Christmas related ornaments and replaced them with a few red heart ornaments......
On the small 3 tiered shelf next to the Estagere......
I replaced everything that was on this shelf for Christmas with some Valentines Snow Buddies and some red roses in a crystal vase.......
Joe says that I am "The Queen of Everything"!!!!!

I am not so sure about that!!!  LOL!

You can see where I put the other 2 mercury glass lighted Trees........
I think they look good with my mercury glass owls......
These Trees look great when lit at night.......
You can see that I also hung silver hearts from the shelves......
I added another red bottle brush Tree, which I bought on Clearance after Christmas several years ago at The Christmas Tree Shop.........
I also embellished the silver pot a bit with a trim......
Another little Snow Buddy......
I added more Valentine Snow Buddies to this shelf  unit.....

Now you know I had to have a Mail Man delivering Valentines ( for those of you who are new here, my hubby is a mail man)

Cutting out paper hearts.......

Nothing like flowers.......
A mercury glass heart.....
Another reference to the Mail!!! LOL!!
And that is how the Powder Room is decorated for Winter and with Valentines!!

I leave up my Valentine's Day and Winter Decorations until the end of February because February is Heart Month as deemed by the American Heart Association!!

Click HERE to check out the American Heart Association's Web Site and learn the signs of a Heart Attack and Heart Disease in women and what you can do to prevent it.......

I have one more Valentine post to share..............
In my next post, I will show you some of the Valentine crafts that I have done over the years and how now is the time to pick up Valentine craft supplies on Clearance!!

To make some Heart Plaques........

Embellished Candy Heart boxes.......
And ornaments.........

So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
