"Under the Sea" Ornaments, Part 3

Welcome!!!

In this post, I will be sharing the last of the ornaments that I made for my Summer "Under the Sea" Tree!!!!

In Part 1, I shared these ornaments that I made from shells thaat my neighbor collected while she lived in Miami in the Winters............
Click HERE if you missed that post........

In Part 2, I shared these ornaments that I made.......
Click HERE if you missed that post!!

In this post, I will be sharing the last of the ornaments that I made to decorate the 6 foot White Tree that sits in a corner of our Living Room for the Summer.......

Joe bought these ornaments several years ago in Burlington on Clearance after Christmas.....
I had plans of doing a Summer Tree after I took down my Patriotic decorations in July using aqua ornaments for several years now......

I was going to put these on the Tree as is until I saw this photo on Pinterest......
I already had the netting from making several Beach wreaths when I was selling crafts so I decided to do my own take on these ornaments......
I gathered the netting around the top of the ornaments......
And wove ribbon through the netting to secure it tying it into a bow and then glued small shells to the ribbon!!
Last year, I picked up several of the clear ornaments that you can fill with whatever you what on Clearance after Christmas in Big Lot's and Michael's..........
I filled them with small shells.......
Made bows for the tops of the ornaments using peach and aqua ribbon and twine.......
Then glued small shells to the ribbon......
And last, I ordered a dozen of wooden Sea Horse Cut Outs on Amazon.......
I painted them aqua........
I then glued small shells onto the tail section.....
Along with silver and gold trim bought n the Dollar Bins at Micheal's.........
Vintage earrings from my costume jewelry stash......
And beads and earrings for eyes!!!
I them glittered the finished ornaments.........
In my next post, I will be revealing my Summer "Under the Sea" Tree decorated with nothing but the ornaments I made....no store bought ornaments which is a first for me!!

And No, I am not going to give you a sneak peak.......

So I hope you will be back to visit again when I reveal my Summer "Under the Sea" Tree!!!

  1. I didn't realize you had a summer tree: I thought maybe you were making crafts to sell; I'm working on stuff for our church bazaar. You sure lucked out on that shell collection! I put a bit of play/craft sand in a clear ball, add a bunch of shells (usually one has a tiny pearl glued in it), sometimes a metal charm (like a seahorse or starfish), a piece os seaweed, driftwood, etc. It's a great soveneir of a Maine beach. Shaking them to change the scene is addictive;like playing with a snowglobe!
